<p>The grip is an important part of golf. Since the only connection between us and the club is our grip, the grip is the most basic and fundamental aspect of the golf swing that determines the outcome of the golf swing before we even swing the club. How we hold the club will directly influence our golf swing, as we try to square the club face to the ball.</p>
<p>
There are 3 different types of grips for golf.  Here are the 3 grips.</p>
<p>
Grip #1: A Strong Grip</p>
<p>
In this grip, the right hand is below the shaft, with the right palm slightly facing up wards. When we return the club face to the ball at impact, the club face has a tendancy to close shut, meaning the club face will point to the left.</p>
<p>
Grip #2: A Weak Grip</p>
<p>
A weak grip is the opposite of the Strong Grip, with the palm of the right hand facing slightly down when gripping the club. Weak grips are generally not good because it promotes a slice.</p>
<p>
Grip #3: Neutral Grip</p>
<p>
This is the ideal grip, Tiger Woods has a neutral grip. It gives the most control and allows you to fade or draw the shot. Shot making is much easier with this grip. The palm of your right hand is facing the target at address, and you can see your left 2 knuckles from your left eye.</p>

<p>Callaway Golf Company (NYSE: ELY) today announced the introduction of an innovative set of golf clubs specifically designed to make the game more fun for women golfers. The Company&#8217;s new Game Enjoyment System (GES) consists of seven uniquely designed golf clubs, a stand bag, headcovers and a guidebook that explains the set and provides yardage and usage guidelines for each club. The Game Enjoyment System, the first Callaway Golf product line specifically designed for women, is expected to ship to retail accounts in March.</p>

<p>GES has seven clubs, half as many as the 14-club limit imposed by the Rules of Golf. By eliminating half the clubs in the bag, GES also removes much of the indecision from club selection. The three stainless steel metal woods, three stainless steel irons and one putter that make up GES are all engineered to perform well in a variety of situations and over a wide range of yardages.</p>

<p>To achieve this goal, each club in the Game Enjoyment System was designed with function placed before form. This is visible in the unique design of the woods, which have offset hosels and an &#8220;open-top&#8221; construction. This design lowers the center of gravity to help golfers with slower swing speeds get shots airborne more easily, while helping to square the clubhead at impact for better results. The three woods in GES are the Driver (up to 190 yards), Long Fairway Wood (up to 175 yards) and Short Fairway Wood (up to 150 yards).</p>
<p>The three irons in GES also have been designed to provide function over form. The large, square face area of each iron inspires confidence and helps golfers line up their shots more accurately. This unique design also includes a large, radiused sole to help the club glide through turf and sand without digging. Another advantage of the bottom-heavy design is a low center of gravity, which helps shots soar high and land softly. The three irons included in GES are the Long Iron (up to 140 yards), Mid Iron (up to 115 yards) and Short Iron (50 yards and in). Each iron and wood in GES has a lightweight GES graphite shaft designed specifically for the Game Enjoyment System.</p>
<p>The final club in GES is a mallet putter with a distinctive alignment design to help players improve their accuracy on the greens. GES also includes a golf bag in a rich champagne-and-shiraz color scheme, with three matching headcovers for the woods in the set. The bag has a detachable pouch for storing valuables and the exclusive GES guidebook, which functions as a handy reference guide to getting the most benefit from each club in the bag.</p>

     These acquisitions represent an additional investment by ClubLink of approximately $43,000,000 which will be paid from existing cash and debt capacity, together with approximately $3,500,000 being satisfied with common shares issued at $12.50 per share.</p>

-    Gormley Green Golf Club and Rolling Hills Golf Club -<br />
comprising, in the aggregate, five 18-hole golf courses,<br />
each of which is just south of ClubLink&#8217;s Emerald Hills Golf<br />
Club and minutes east of ClubLink&#8217;s DiamondBack Golf Club;<br />
and<br />
-    Georgetown Golf Club and Bolton Golf Club &#8211; comprising, in<br />
the aggregate, two 18 hole and one 9-hole golf courses,<br />
located northeast of ClubLink&#8217;s Greystone Golf Club and<br />
RattleSnake Point Golf Club.</p>

Agents encountered and seized counterfeit golf equipment at 10 retail golf outlet locations, carting away in excess of two thousand counterfeit products, including copies of clubs and equipment manufactured by Acushnet Company (Titleist and Cobra Golf), Callaway Golf, Cleveland Golf, Nike, Ping and TaylorMade- adidas Golf. The products seized included counterfeit golf clubs, golf gloves, golf bags, travel covers and accessories. The estimated value of the seized goods is more than $300,000.00.</p>

   The American companies praised Chinese authorities for their cooperation in enforcing the law. Rob Duncanson, an attorney coordinating efforts in China on behalf of the industry, observed that Chinese counterfeit golf clubs have proliferated considerably in the past year, causing confusion and harm to the consumer in the marketplace and injuring the reputations of major American golf club companies. &#8220;The counterfeit clubs often don&#8217;t perform, and may break or become unplayable after only a few uses,&#8221; said Duncanson. &#8220;The sale of this counterfeit product is not only unlawful, but it damages the reputations of the U.S. branded companies.&#8221;</p>

   Concerning the Shanghai raids, Duncanson said, &#8220;The joining together of these golf equipment manufacturers to tackle the counterfeiting problem at its source in China is a new approach. By working together, the companies leverage their anti-counterfeiting resources, which enables them to have a broader and more powerful impact in addressing the counterfeit problem at both the retail and manufacturing levels in China. In addition to receiving significant support from Chinese authorities, the United States Customs Service continues to provide invaluable ongoing assistance by intercepting counterfeit goods coming into the United States.&#8221;</p>
